Category Manager Food Service Nordics

Within the scope of European Food Service strategy, McCain has to strengthen its category approach by bringing a strong expertise both to key distributors and Major End Users as well as Independent Operators in different end user segments. The Category Management function has the objective to support the local execution of the European FS strategy taking into account the local FS specificities.

The Category Manager will work hand in hand with the Key Account Manager, the Sales Director and the sales team to bring strong market insights, recommendations and sales propositions to customers and prospects in order to create business opportunities and develop strong partnerships.

Being part of the Marketing Food Service team in Central and Northern Europe, key responsibilities in this position will include:

As an expert of the FS business in the Nordics, provide strong inputs to the FS business development through in-depth market knowledge and analysis of the out-of-home food business, for both street market and key accounts

Support in the development of local Food Service strategies, their translation into execution plans and marketing activities for the Nordic markets, all within the context of the European FS strategy

Convert at country level market / customer / consumer insights into fully developed sales propositions for Independent Operator segments, Major End Users and Distributors

Lead marketing as well as specific customer projects, in close cooperation with the FS Sales team, agencies & customers within the region

Support European FS initiatives and projects lead by the central marketing team

The successful candidate will have a Master degree in business or economics specialized in Marketing/Sales.  With a minimum of 3-5 years work experience in Sales, Product Management or Category Management / Trade Marketing, the candidate developed ideally knowledge or experience in the Food Service.

Good team player and relationship manager, communicative, proactive, high commitment, target-oriented, the Candidate is also able to work with autonomy.

Fluent in English on a business level (written and verbal), the candidate has also very good computer skills incl. practical experience with all MS-Office applications. Danish or Finnish would be additional benefit.

The location where the job will be fulfilled is Ekerö/close to Stockholm in Sweden, and the job requires travelling.
