About the position
As one of our Customer Innovation Managers in the European Dairy team is moving on to new challenges within the company we are now looking for a skilled person to join our Dairy Customer Innovation team in Business area Europe.
As Customer Innovation Manager you work closely together with sales to identify and grow new opportunities in the European dairy market. You provide technical support in customer projects and act as a technical innovation partner and expert throughout the buying cycle, from idea generation, creating of solutions and all the way to technical implementation and launch. You will also be part of trouble shooting and assist with various technical issues as well as supporting your peers acting as a strong pan-European team. As CI Manager you are leading technical projects and activities. Building strong relations with the Customers is important as you are a crucial part of growing and maintaining the business according to the global and regional dairy strategy.
The focus area is Europe and you will also to some extent support new application development and solutions for the global and regional dairy industry, as well as the corporate R&D team for testing of NPD prototypes, in cooperation with AAK’s Dairy pilot plants and labs.
The dairy segment covers both traditional dairy applications as cheese, butter-blends, whipped toppings, ice creams, milk powders etc as well as plant-based alternatives of those applications.
The successful candidate will be part of the European Dairy & Savoury CI team and report to our European Dairy CIM Team Leader Josefin Lundin.
Who are you?
Experience:
You hold a degree in a food science or chemistry discipline, preferably dairy, and with a proven experience from working in the food industry. Hands-on application experience from dairy processing is a distinct advantage as well as good knowledge in fats and oils chemistry. Strong project management skills and experience from customer work are also advantages.
Our business language is English and therefore a good command in written and spoken English is mandatory.

You are an effective relationships builder, both internally and externally, with strong project management skills and a hands-on approach. You thrive in a hectic working environment and are adoptable to change. You are a true team player with a strong sense of urgency, always striving to improve and innovate and you have good communication skills and a good understanding of cultural differences.
As this role has a European remit, there is an expectation that the successful candidate has the capacity to travel as required.
