The current Field Sales Manager has decided to leave the company after 5 years. Orkla Confectionary & Snacks Sverige now seeks a transformative leader with ability to lead a large sales force in the process of implementing the perfect store methodology. One of the most important and largest field sales manager jobs on the Swedish grocery trade market is now open. This is a fantastic opportunity for you take on a very exciting position and develop a market leading company into further sales excellence. You will be part of a large sales organization with great opportunities for the right candidate to develop a team and to further excel our field sales strategy. The field sales manager also has a direct impact on company strategy as an active member of the sales management team.  Managing a team of approximately 50 employees will be challenging but also very rewarding for the right candidate. Orkla Confectionary & Snacks Sverige is market leading in cookies, biscuits and snacks in the Swedish market with well-known brands in category leading positions, such as classic Cheez Doodles, Mariekex, OLW, Singoalla, Saltiner, Brago, Ballerina, popcorn for example. With more than 600 employees and roughly 1,2 billion SEK in turnover, Orkla Confectionary & Snacks  is an important grocery trade partner. Orkla Confectionery & Snacks Sverige is a part of the Orkla Group (listed on the Norwegian stock exchange) headquartered in Oslo. Orkla is the largest supplier of groceries in the Nordics.  2013 total turnover amounted to 33 billion NOK.   RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Coach and directly lead 4 Regional Field Sales Managers and to further develop them into strong leaders
  • Formulating fields sales strategy to ensure optimum efficiency and return on investment: in essence prioritize efforts
  • Actively establish and take a lead on short and long term objectives for Field Sales including setting goals and budgets (expobudget) for each sales cycle
  • Establishment and implementation of objectives for distribution, volume, display and promotion in line with the cross functionally agreed commercial plan
  • Roll-out of a new KPI-system in line with ongoing sales excellence project: Perfect store concept
  • Proactively initiate relevant change in the immediate field sales organization and clearly communicate its impact on the total organization
  • Take a lead on ensuring an optimal flow of information/interaction between different departments
  • Continuously monitor and respond to need for training of sales force together with regional field sales managers
  • Manage national sales conferences
  • Part of management team sales function
  • Act as a Captain for your field sales force. Interact cross-functionally to ensure that your team has what it needs to beat the competition in every store
  • Stimulate and drive winning behaviors throughout the team via performance management
  PERSON DESCRIPTION/BACKGROUND
  • To become successful in this position you must have a burning desire to Compete and to Win, and you must love to work with a large group of people. You must embrace change and be the person who always tries to do a little more than what is required. For you it is natural to challenge “the way we have always done it before”
  • University degree in business or economics or acquired the equivalent of experience in working
  • Ideally a current and ambitious regional field sales manager ready to take the next career step or an established field sales manager looking for a new challenge
  • Previous experience with perfect store concept is rewarding
  • Min. 5-10 years' experience preferably within FMCG. 3-5 years of experience in managing personnel is required
  • In depth knowledge of sales and category management in the grocery trade
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
