Assignment In this position as Purchaser for IKEA Food, you will have the opportunity to optimise the purchasing possibilities, develop existing and new suppliers, participate in creating an efficient supplier structure and constantly improve supplier performance to create capability. All this to secure excellence in running operations and to ensure development, optimize costs and growth of IKEA Food! An important part of your role will be to work with a defined business category within global IKEA Food where your responsibility is to actively monitor markets, competitors and suppliers, maintain the relationship together with each supplier and act to enhance the full potential of the business. You will be securing the IKEA Code of Conduct, sustainability and business ethics standards as well as evaluating choices made within the purchasing business related to cost, capacity, quality, delivery and sustainability. You are business driven with economics and financial knowledge, you have excellent negotiation skills and you know how to work with cost drivers in the purchasing part of the supply chain as well as being well familiar with legal documentation connected to Purchasing operation. You know the business processes especially within the purchasing area and preferably have an understanding of Food material and production. You are fluent in English, both written and spoken.
