About the job
Following the expansion and heavy investments of new equipment in the factory in Kimstad you will be a key part of continues development of Tate & Lyles operations in Sweden. As part of the local management team you will be responsible for operations (production and maintenance) in the plant. You will lead through 6 leaders and in total 30 employees. This is an exciting opportunity to be a key part of developing the plant and with the potential to grow in the organisation!
Key responsibilities
As Operations Manager your main responsibilities will be to:
- Budget & staff responsibility
- Lead and develop leaders
- Drive productivity and OEE in the plant
- Lead Continues Improvement in quality, food safety, automation and preventive maintenance
- Securing safety in production by making shore routines are followed and improved
- To handle capacity increase, find opportunities for automation and improve internal logistics
- Minimize scrap and improve yield
- Msc Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering or equivalent
- Minimum 10 years’ experience from the food or process industry
- At least 3 years’ experience as leader for operations, production and/or maintenance
- Experience from a continues process with high temperatures, pressurised equipment and a living material
- Extensive Continues Improvement experience within Operations
- Track record of improving OEE, preventive maintenance and productivity
- Experience of identifying and leading Capex and automation projects is an advantage
- Mature, direct and influencing leader
- Fluent in Swedish & English
