About the job
IKEA Food’s role is to attract visitors to the stores, encouraging IKEA store visitors to stay longer and enjoy more, offering great food with quality at the lowest prices, giving visitors a tasty reason to return again and again.
As a Purchaser Food at IKEA IMS your role is to support the Nordic organisations of IKEA Food with the purchase of the local range of food products.
You will be responsible for sourcing all local products in the national IKEA Food range and to secure the suppliers comply with all IKEA requirements on quality and sustainability, including animal welfare. You will have the responsibility for leading purchase projects from the very start to the final agreements together with our stakeholders at IKEA Retail Food according to set purchase process. You, together with the team, will secure the best buy for IKEA. You will build trustful relations with stakeholders and suppliers to achieve the best solutions. You will be part of a Category Food purchasing matrix network within IKEA Group.
About you
We are looking for you with a university degree within Business school, Food processing/agricultural engineering school, or corresponding knowledge. You have at least 3 years previous experience from food purchasing activities and experience of food purchasing procedures and food safety.
We want you to contribute with initiatives and continuously improve and look for better solutions. You are open for feedback and share your knowledge with others as well as service minded and a good relationship builder. As a person you have a business mindset, are driven and have excellent negotiation skills. You know how to work with cost drivers in the purchasing part of the supply chain. You are a good leader with great co-operation and communication skills and you like to interact with people and build trustworthy relations.
This position is placed at Hubhult, Malmö and you will report to the Regional Purchase Manager.
