IKEA Food Services AB offers A Taste of Sweden to the world by operating the Restaurants, Staff Restaurants, Bistros and Swedish Food Markets in IKEA stores worldwide. We have a passion for offering our visitors great food with quality and the lowest prices while experiencing a taste of Sweden, thus supporting the Swedish profile of IKEA. Assignment The Purchasing Manager takes overall responsibility for all strategic and operational food purchasing activities including creating an efficient supplier structure and optimising purchasing possibilities, in running business as well as through key projects. You lead and develop purchasing across functions and countries to ensure that we are fit for growth. You will set, monitor and follow up the food purchase strategy aligned with the overall IKEA Purchasing strategy, and secure that the purchasing action plans are delivering to the goals set. You are the matrix responsible to the countries as well as leading and developing your team. You ensure that we work cross functionally in order to create the best total offer including product development and total cost perspective. You are driven by finding new purchase opportunities together with leading the work to constantly improve supplier performance and secure excellence in operations in global purchasing. Is this the right challenge for you? We are looking for you who have senior food purchasing experience with in depth market knowledge of Scandinavian and European food purchasing, preferably gained from international business experience. You have a true passion for retailing along with knowledge of the cost drivers in supply chain. You have great management and leadership capabilities with a genuine belief in the IKEA values driven by a desire to develop business and people together. You drive change, through major innovations as well as by constantly looking for better ways day-to-day to ensure that we establish strong and sustainable operations. You are fluent in English, both spoken and written. You will initially be based in Helsingborg but with a planned move to Malmö.
