Skånemejerier is based in Malmö and is Sweden's second largest dairy company, with an annual turnover exceeding 4 billion SEK. Purpose
You will be responsible for developing the Nordic Purchasing Strategy and drive its delivery and objectives.
You will also be responsible for purchasing budget for the Nordics countries, while ensuring total compliance with all Group policies, standards and strategies.
You need to ensure that the purchasing function (team, performance, systems and procedures) meets the needs of the Nordic businesses and in doing so, understand and meet the requirements and concerns of suppliers and consumers.
You also have to ensure LACTALIS retains and increases its reputation as a first-class dairy/food producer/supplier. This will be through both personal performance and, critically, the effective coordinating with the Group and cross function teams responsible for delivering activities and projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and manage the assigned purchasing budget, direct and indirect spend, at Nordic level to meet or exceed annual performance targets.
- Manage and coordinate action plans and performance with other functions, identify and monitor all potential projects for value analysis program at local level for Nordics countries.
- Ensure and maintain close relation to central team organization. Coordinate and share purchase initiatives.
- Ensure and maintain central required purchasing reporting accurately and on time. Follow up the spend, performance, budgets, estimations and projects for direct and indirect spend for all NSSC perimeter.
- Manage and motivate team reporting directly to him/her.
- Be responsible on regional and global initiatives respecting data collection and support global category strategy.
- Challenge local needs and suppliers, in coordination with Global R&D organization, about new technology/products applications for his/her assigned area.
- Analyze purchasing reporting to be able to understand and explain variances as well as measure monthly and YTD performance against targets.
Technical Skills
- Purchasing Negotiation strategy: You will identify and formalize functional needs and technical specification under specific bid, determine the market inquiry tools adapted to the category strategy. You will also analyze the results of the bid and propose quantified and qualified recommendations, prepare and set up negotiation process, prepare and facilitate the negotiation process with suppliers and facilitate the negotiation process with internal requester and suppliers.
- Suppliers management: You will select suppliers and improve their performance - reliability of supply, quality, services, costs, innovation. You also will know and support the Quality team to implement the Supplier Quality Management Process.
- Purchasing Category Management: You will know and implement the Lactalis 3P purchasing process at local level, analyze and challenge specific and functional needs. You will also define the local category purchasing strategy according to internal needs and requirements in coherence with the structure and patterns of supplier’s market, and contribute to regional / global purchasing categories.
- Cost management: You will identify all costs levers related to an item/category to control, forecast and reduce them. Also, analyze and set up complete cost break down of a product/service, estimate and implement the scope of actions and various opportunities for cost optimization.
- Purchasing Budgeting and controlling: You will set up assigned category budget and estimate, monitor finance and cost related purchasing KPI's - Purchasing Price Variance, Saving plan and DPO. Also, understand the impact of local currency fluctuations on Group budget and estimates.
- Team management: You will manage and motivate your direct reports.

Required Qualifications
- You will have a minimum 5 years in a procurement department with a strong exposure to international environments and matrix organization.
- You are fluent in English, both spoken and written. French could be an advantage.
- You have knowledge of IS tools: SAP and MS Office pack.
- You have a University degree in Economics or Technical, with a specialization in procurement.
Other
You are result oriented with strong analysis and synthesis skills. Also, you are “hands-on” with a strong ability to work in interfunctional teams and a matrix organization. You have the capacity to lead change and to work under pressure.
