R&D & Regulatory Manager - Unilever

About the role

As the R&D & Regulatory Manager you are part of the Northern Europe R&D business team and in charge of the Nordic function. In the position you ensure compliance, deployment and implementation of all types of R&D related projects. You drive the implementation of local R&D elements and provides relevant input and insight for a successful activation of products/brands in the local market. In close collaboration with especially our Marketing department you ensure full R&D support to local activities for a successful implementation of new / relaunched products in the market. You also act as a business partner to the rest of the local BCS business team.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute and support the implementation of all product launches and renovation projects in the Nordics.
• Via thorough market/competitor investigation identify new product ideas and claims areas
• Local specification management and artwork approval
• Responsible for executing compliance requirements for BCS: s products in accordance with EU and local legislation as well as internal policies
• Assuring regulatory compliance protecting the brands and our consumers
• Responsible for the relationship with external partners when e.g. outsourcing regulatory, translation and artwork tasks
• Contribute with technical input in risk assessments and issue management in close collaboration with the local/regional Quality Assurance team.
• Influence and educate customers, consumers and business partners on our products and technologies
• Propose improvements in Ways of Working, processes, methods, systems

Qualifications

• Academic degree in food engineering, food science or similar
• Preferably at least 3-5 years of R&D work experience in a FMCG company or similar with expertise in food legislation and regulations
• Experience in project management
• Fluent in English and Swedish, both written and spoken. Fluency in Finnish or Danish is a merit.
