Senior Food Safety Specialist

Base Materials within Supply Chain Operations procures paperboard, polymers, foil, film and ink to ensure global supply. The organization develops the supplier base and secures leadership in food safety and sustainability. You will be one of the key players in achieving this and will have a substantial impact on the development in these areas. We are looking for a Senior Food Safety Specialist to join our Quality and Sustainability team. In this global role you will work with suppliers as well as other external and internal stakeholders. With your food safety competence, you will contribute to the development and qualification of new products, materials and suppliers. What you will do  As our new Senior Food Safety Specialist, you will:

• Secure base material regulatory compliance in cooperation with suppliers and Tetra Pak regulatory expertise
• Lead and coordinate food safety and regulatory activities within Base Materials and act as the organization’s internal and external interface in these areas
• Drive food safety continual improvement through Base Material ISO 22000 management system
• Build and share knowledge within food safety globally within Tetra Pak

This position will be located in Lund, Sweden, but you will work in a global arena. You will travel around 10% of your time. Who you are  We are looking for a highly dedicated person with analytical skills and a high drive. You are a trustworthy individual who can work independently as well as in close cooperation with internal and external stakeholders. To communicate on all levels in the organization is natural for you and you are comfortable making presentations. You have an interest to follow international developments within your area of expertise and an ability to extract, share and explain relevant information to colleagues. To be successful in this role, you must have food safety competence and understanding of food – material interaction. You have a university degree within chemistry, material science, food safety or similar and at least 5 years of experience from food safety/regulatory position. If you have experience from the packaging, food or medical industry it is considered a merit. You must be fluent both in written and spoken English.
