Our customer is an international worldwide operating Food Company with European R&D site in Munich (Bavaria), Germany. We are recruiting for the Gum Development team in Munich an innovative and high professional
Senior Group Leader R&D, Gum (m/f)
Your Responsibilities:
- Manage a team of scientists and engineers that is responsible for various Gum development projects
- Interact actively with other developers and colleagues from other functions e.g. marketing and procurement
- Project management of cross-functional projects
- In depth knowledge of the whole development process: R&D, technical aspects and budget
- Understanding of customer needs regarding to the implementation of new projects
- Negotiate with stakeholder and business partner
- Degree in Food Science, Chemical Engineering or relevant field with at least 5 years experience in the food industry
- Experience in working in an industrial environment like pilot plants, development kitchens or manufacturing
- Understanding and knowledge of gum /candy specific technologies, especially those related to products and processes (e.g. ingredient technology and product formulation, cooking, mixing, forming technologies and coating) is a MUST HAVE
- Strong project management skills to manage project leaders and scientist in both product and technology development
- Experience in managing people is an advantage
- Business mindset is essential
- Ability to work independently, solve problems and conflicts
- Ability to work across boundaries, influence people and collaborate with others to deliver effective results
- Flexibility to travel
- Fluency in English is required, other language skills are beneficial
